Request for Expressions of Interest

A Request for an Expression of Interest (EOI) is formalized way for us to determine who might be interested in working with us on a specific project or program. Issuing an EOI is an early step in our process of finding the right partner organizations to support our work and helps us connect with those who share our mission and have the skills or services we need.

Why do we use EOIs?

We typically use EOIs when we’re preparing to launch a new project or program (such as a youth mentoring scheme or a community support service), or we need to find partners, contractors, or service providers (like facilitators, agencies, or consultants), and we want to explore the level of interest and available expertise before moving to a more formal request for proposals or quotes.

What Happens After We Receive EOIs?

After we’ve received expressions of interest, we usually:

  • Review all submissions to understand who’s out there and what they can bring to the table.
  • Shortlist the most suitable candidates based on experience, capability, and alignment with our goals.
  • Invite those shortlisted to submit a more detailed proposal, bid, or quotation.

How Often are EOIs issued?

We do not have a set schedule for EOIs, however, we endeavour to inform parties of upcoming EOIs several weeks in advance and then provide a six to eight week window for applications to be submitted. Applications are reviewed as and when received but a final decision is not made until after the EOI deadline. Successful applicants are typically informed three to four weeks after the EOI deadline.
